TO OVERPAY - [verb] to give too much money for something which is not worth it

She prefers doing shopping in corner shops, which are more expensive than supermarkets. She doesn't care that she overpays.

If I had waited with buying the new pair of jeans until the Winter Sale, I wouldn't have overpaid.
