TO WOLF-WHISTLE - [verb] to whistle approvingly at a female

The road worker who had wolf-whistled at Peter's girlfriend was beaten up yesterday. No wonder, Peter's a boxer and he's extremely jealous of her.

I find it offensive that men wolf-whistle and shout at women they find attractive.
